Kia Ora, we are Samantha and Jonah,
As a husband and wife team and parents to four, family is at the heart of everything we create. We’re drawn to real connection, honest moments, and the stories that unfold in between.
Our approach is relaxed and intentional, allowing you the space to simply be yourselves while we capture what’s genuine and meaningful. Every session is a reflection of the warmth, curiosity, and joy we experience in our own lives.
Outside of photography, you’ll usually find us having a kai at the park and spending quality time together as a family, or dreaming up our next adventure.
Fun Facts About Us
We are proud Parents of four, and family is the centre of our world, they always keep us laughing with their jokes, comebacks, and unique quirks. At home, we share our life with two furry companions: Ponyo, our friendly lab-cross, and Ginger the Ninja, a mischievous kitten named by our 7-year-old. We love our coffee and can’t resist a sweet chai latte and a mocha. Can you guess who likes what coffee ? When we're not photographing families or capturing special moments, you’ll find us curled up with a Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings marathon, dreaming of adventures big and small.
Process
Step 01
The vision
Once your session is booked, I create a personalised moodboard tailored to your vision. Using Pinterest for visual inspiration, we’ll go through it together to align on styling, tones, and the overall feel, so your session reflects you in the most authentic way.
Step 02
The Experience
We begin the session in a relaxed, easy-going way to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’ll gently guide you through poses inspired by your moodboard, along with natural prompts to bring out genuine emotion and connection, nothing forced, just you being you.
Step 03
The Memoir
Your images are thoughtfully curated and edited to bring your story to life. Every detail is refined to reflect the emotion, tone, and connection captured during your session. The final gallery becomes a visual memoir, timeless, personal, and yours to hold onto.
